If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone out and call 911 from outside — don't go back in to investigate or open windows. Call us once the building is safe and we'll deal with the appliance.

What counts as an HVAC emergency?

No heat in freezing weather, no cooling during a heat warning, an active water leak from a tank or boiler, a furnace or boiler that keeps locking out, and no hot water in a household that cannot manage without it. If you are unsure, call and describe it — we will tell you honestly whether it can wait until morning.

Are you actually available 24/7?

Yes. We run 24/7 emergency dispatch, seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You are calling a small local company, not a call centre.

Is there an extra charge for after-hours calls?

There can be an emergency call-out fee outside normal hours. The Wizard plan removes that fee entirely, and Pro Wizard adds same-day emergency priority on top. Whatever the situation, you get the price before we start.

My furnace quit and it's below freezing — what do I do while I wait?

Close off unused rooms, keep the heat you have in the occupied part of the house, and open cabinet doors under sinks on exterior walls so plumbing stays warmer. If the house is dropping fast and you have somewhere warm to go, go. Do not use a barbecue, camp stove, or outdoor heater indoors under any circumstances.

I smell gas — should I call you first?

No. Leave the building first, and from outside call your gas utility's emergency line. They handle the gas side. Call us after that and we will deal with the appliance. Do not switch anything electrical on or off on your way out.

What about a carbon monoxide alarm?

Get everyone outside immediately and call 911 from outside. Do not go back in to investigate or open windows first. Once emergency services have cleared the building, we can diagnose the appliance that caused it.

My water heater or boiler is leaking — how urgent is it?

Shut off the water supply valve to the unit, and on an electric water heater kill the breaker as well. That stops it getting worse. A steady drip can wait for a scheduled call; water actively running or spraying should not.

How fast can you get here?

It depends on where you are and what is already on the board, but we prioritize no-heat calls in freezing weather and no-cooling calls in heat warnings. We will give you a realistic window when you call rather than a hopeful one.
